​James Abbs — Owner & Master Barber
James discovered his passion for barbering at age 14, cutting hair as a hobby before turning it into his craft. After completing his formal training in London, he continued to refine his technique through masterclasses and advanced academies—learning alongside industry innovators such as Simon Butcher, Menspire, Dialacuts, Hayden Cassidy, and Charlie Gray. Known for his uncompromising standards and keen eye for detail, James specializes in classic shapes and uniquely tailored cuts. His goal is simple: ensure every client feels relaxed in the chair and walks out looking their absolute best.
Outside the shop: You’ll find James spending time with family, working with dogs, or indulging his passion for cars and motorbikes.
​Olly — Senior Barber
Olly began his career directly after school, completing two years at Norwich City College to earn his Level 3 barbering qualification. Since joining Crown Barbers, he has continued honing his technique alongside the team, keeping closely dialed in to modern trends and cutting-edge styling. Always up for a good conversation, Olly takes immense pride in delivering top-tier service, making sure every client leaves the chair feeling confident and sharp.
Outside the shop: Olly is an avid classic rock fan, vinyl record collector, and gym-goer who also loves football and live festivals.
​Antonio — Barber
Antonio earned his Level 2 qualification in Norwich before joining Crown Barbers, where he continues to develop his skills under James’s mentorship. Conscientious, friendly, and ambitious, Ant equally enjoys crafting razor-sharp modern styles and timeless classic cuts. Driven by a desire to take his craft to the highest standard—with an eye on future barbering competitions—he treats every cut as an opportunity to raise the bar.
Outside the shop: Ant enjoys lake fishing, hitting the gym, and unwinding to heavy metal.
​Michaela — Apprentice Barber
The newest addition to Crown Barbers, Michaela brings a vibrant creative background and a genuine passion for people to the team. Currently holding her Level 2 qualification and actively working toward her Level 3 under the guidance of James, Olly, and Ant, she is mastering the core foundations of barbering while developing her signature flair. Michaela’s warm, attentive demeanor ensures clients feel genuinely cared for from start to finish.
Outside the shop: Michaela channels her creative eye into custom pet portraits and artwork, spends time with family, and keeps the energy high with her lifelong love of music.
